More traveling
Andy, my good friend from college and now my co-worker is also headed out on a business trip this week.
Something, though doesn’t seem fair. After a little more than four years of this, I’m still going to developing countries. Don’t get me wrong, there’s lots of cool stuff to see and do and I always have a blast.
Andy, on the other hand, is taking his first business trip for us and he’s going to bloody Amsterdam for a conference. Ah well. Hopefully he’ll blog a little on the trip.
I was in Amsterdam once, in the late 70s, with the family for a vacation. We rented a VW pop-top camper and drove around The Netherlands and Germany for a couple weeks. Amsterdam was cool, so was the port at Rotterdam. Swimming in the North Sea was _cold_. One night we camped on the grounds of a boarding school that was housed in the building filmed as the Nazi headquarters in “A Bridge Too Far.”
Oh yeah, and Germany was good, too. Especially Nuremberg (sp?) and the drive down the Rhein.
