Housecleaning

Inspired by others, I’ve tried to clean up the HTML and CSS templates driving this site a little bit. It worked if there is no visible change. What I fixed was only stuff a geek could love — I rearranged the CSS and HTML markup to eliminate useless and redundant tags, refactored things out a bit, marked up lists properly, etc.
